All In For Louisiana is a campaign about moving the needle. That starts with small, strategic wins and builds towards cultivating and running dynamic progressives in legislative races statewide. Be a part of a volunteer-led, grassroots campaign that overcomes the moneyed interests in Louisiana.
OUR 4 CORE ISSUES
We help elect vetted candidates based on their fidelity to all of our 4 core issues, not just one or two.
That means they believe in:
CLEAN AIR & WATER
Promote the safety and health of Louisianans and the integrity of shared environmental resources through updating protections to account for changing patterns of industrial activity.
Promote energy efficiency by opening proceedings in state legislature to update energy efficiency chapter of state building code.
Promote the fair distribution of environmental benefits and harms across the spectrum of race, income, and background with respect to individual contributions to, and profits/impacts from, environmental harms.
Support a just transition from fossil fuels by promoting innovative projects and initiatives that diversify Louisiana’s economy in an environmentally responsible manner.
STRONG PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Support for strong, democratic control of our local public schools.
Support for public assets being used for the public good, particularly in public education.
Eliminate charter schools from being used by private companies to acquire real-estate assets at taxpayers' expense.
Address the unjust requirement that traditional public schools shoulder an inequitable share of retirement obligations and state-mandated payments to the unfunded accrued liability.
LIVABLE WAGES
Anyone who works for a living should not be trapped living in poverty. One full time job should be enough to supply a living, with access to healthcare, real food, and access to education.
Our goal is to establish laws that both set a minimum wage and match that minimum wage to the Consumer Price Index. The minimum wage must keep up with inflation, but it has not for ten years.
By repealing right-to-work laws we can strengthen unions and deepen their membership within our State.
We must repeal at-will employment. At-will employment legislation divides some workers into a category that allows termination at any time for any reason.
HEALTHCARE ACCESS & WELL-BEING
Commitment to protecting the Governor's 2016 Medicaid Expansion.
Develop a system of accountability to ensure that “covered services” as listed in state contracts are accessible to recipients, even in remote areas, in a timely fashion.
Insist that Medicaid make pain management a covered service with an adequate number of providers throughout the state.
Support a state law mandating a fact-based, comprehensive sex education curriculum for public school students
Improve the quality of and access to mental healthcare in Louisiana.
